I’ve been bringing my dogs here since we moved back to Iowa in 2022. This place was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad we have found a home for our boys here. The staff is great and the owner, Dave, is awesome! Even with the drive, it’s worth it! Thanks to everyone at Prairie View for caring for furry family members.

The doctors at Prairie View are great. I suggest you try them when you have problems but also at anytime. My dog had 2 acl surgeries at different times. Also a tooth surgery . Dr. Thilges is a great ortho surgeon.

As soon as you walk in whoever is manning the front desk is always smiling and polite. Everyone is kind and you can tell that they truly care about the animals.

Our dog has been under the care of Prairie View for 10 years. Whether she is having a routine checkup, a vaccination, a dental cleaning, or any other type of care, I have always found the veterinarians and staff to be wonderful and knowledgeable. Our dog is very well cared for by Prairie View!

They made me feel very comfortable the moment I entered the office. It was my first visit and first impressions are very important. They spent all of the time necessary for the examination & I did not feel rushed at all. They were incredible with my kitty & answered all of my questions. Their follow-up after the appointment/exam was also very thorough, making sure I did not have any questions once we returned home. All in all the entire process was perfect! You cannot do better anywhere else. I am very happy to have found them.

The best care for our fur baby. He doesn't like them, but they work so hard to make sure he is healthy! Easy to get appointments and always a clean office.

The staff is wonderful and caring. They love my dogs and are always so delighted to see them, even my uncooperative one. They are very responsive and willing to take the time I may need for something in person, on the phone or text. I really appreciate that. I highly recommend them for you pets!

I have been taking my cats to PVAH since they were tiny rescue babies. The doctors and staff are always warm, welcoming and helpful. They are also very patient with this nervous cat mom, as my kitties have health issues. I can't say enough good things about Prairie View Animal Hospital.

This is by far the best vet care I have received for my animals. The staff is always so help, kind and understanding. The vets are amazing and do an amazing job. Highly recommend

Doctor Braas is an amazing vet. She cares about all her patients as if they’re her own. The staff is so helpful and kind. I love them. Definitely recommend this vet clinic to anyone in DSM and the surrounding areas.

The staff are very friendly and genuinely seem to care about my dog and I love that. I’m also a very paranoid dog mom and call probably way too much and they always listen and deal with my anxiety very well, which I also greatly appreciate. I recommend people who need a vet in the area to prairie view! Oslo and I have enjoyed them.

My old girl was in for her Bi-annual check and to get an opinion on her bump! She loves going to the vet and especially loves the people here. She was snuggled, spoiled, treated to yummy things, got a belly rub . . . All her favorite things! And the bump is probably nothing to worry about, and having that confirmed is such a relief. I have been taking my Bernese Mountain Dogs to Dr. K. She, along with the entire staff have always provided the utmost quality care for my dogs. Dr. K is THE BEST in Canine Reproduction and she's very wonderful to work with!

We had a quality and professional experience at Prairie View. Everyone we encountered was quite skilled at their job and very personable. Dr. Lisa Thilges examined our dog's leg injury thoroughly, gave an accurate diagnosis and offered several options for treatment. We were very pleased with our visit at Prairie View and will be regular clientele.

Prairie View Animal Hospital is the best vet clinic in town. Their doctors, vet techs and front staff are extremely knowledgeable and take time to explain everything they do. They are empathetic and sympathetic to you and your pets needs and are the most caring people in town.They treat your pets as if they are their own. I definitely recommend them for all of your pet care needs.

For sure the pet Vet clinic I have ever taken my pets too. Hubert loves you all, and I appreciate all you do for him to make him feel more at ease. He can now come for his hair cut with no sedation, and I love that you play his favorite; Frank Sinatra for him!

Dr. Stearns and the whole staff have taken great care of my pup as we are battling her allergies. Dr. Stearns is always professional, thorough and presents options so we can make an informed decision together. The support staff are kind and helpful in taking care of scheduling, payments and answering any questions.

I love Dr. Stearns, as she is very caring, kind, and knowledgable! The staff here have always been super nice, and I can tell that they truly care about their patients. After each exam, they clearly lay out all of your options for treatment and the costs. I literally drive about 45 minutes from Ames just to take my cat to this vet, so that says a lot about the good experiences I’ve had at Prairie View Animal Hospital. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Took my dog in for a one time visit as I live out of town. Came in and had a drive up visit. The staff was kind and professional. They took my dog back and figured out the problem in a timely manner. They came back and gave me options for future treatment but didn't try to push me on expensive procedures. The whole thing cost a lot less than I thought it would and they gave me confidence that my dog would be in good health going forward.

There aren’t words to describe how amazing EVERYONE in the office is! They truly go above and beyond to ensure the best possible treatment and ongoing care for our furry kids. I don’t trust anyone else and feel so fortunate to have found Prairie View! Thank you!

I’ve been taking my pet cat Thor to Prairie View Animal Hospital since I got him as a kitten about four years ago. He goes there for his regular wellness exams and any other medical issues he might have.
I have the utmost confidence that my pet will be given the best medical care possible when I take him there. The doctors and support staff there are fantastic. I would recommend them to any friend or relative who want their pet to get the best treatment possible along with a little TLC.🙂

I received a “Welcome to the Neighborhood” flyer in the mail, so I decided to take my puppy for her first exam - Awesome place!! They are beyond helpful & patient - very clean establishment. Everyone was friendly, took their time answering my questions & checking on my dog. I highly recommend this animal hospital.
